  • I am currently in-network with Aetna.

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which may reimburse a portion of therapy costs. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to understand your coverage, reimbursement rates, and the process for submitting claims. I can provide a detailed invoice (superbill) for services, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance company to confirm your out-of-network benefits and the reimbursement process. If you have any questions about this, feel free to reach out!

  • Therapy Services:

At this time, I am only able to provide therapy services to individuals who reside in New Jersey. This is due to licensing regulations that require me to work within the state where I am licensed. If you are located outside of New Jersey, I encourage you to seek a licensed therapist in your area who can best meet your needs.

    Workshops & Presentations:

Yes, I do offer workshops and presentations outside of New Jersey! I am available to provide these services to individuals and organizations regardless of location. If you're interested in booking a workshop or presentation, please feel free to reach out to discuss the details.

  • Deciding if therapy is right for you is a personal journey, and it often begins with recognizing that you may need support in navigating challenges or making changes in your life. Therapy can be a helpful space if you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with mood or anxiety, facing life transitions, dealing with past trauma, or simply seeking personal growth. It’s also a great place to build coping skills, improve relationships, and gain clarity. If you’re open to exploring your thoughts and emotions in a safe, non-judgmental space, therapy can be a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery. A consultation can help determine if we’re a good fit, and together, we can explore whether therapy aligns with your goals and needs.

  • Each therapy session typically lasts 50 minutes, providing ample time to explore your concerns, gain insights, and work toward your goals. The frequency of sessions can vary based on your needs and preferences, with options to schedule weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Together, we’ll determine the rhythm that best supports your journey and progress.

  • During the first session we’ll spend time getting to know each other. This is an opportunity for you to share your concerns, goals, and any relevant history. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current struggles, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll also discuss the approach I use and how we can tailor it to fit your unique needs. By the end of this session, we’ll have a clear understanding of how to move forward together.

In following therapy sessions, we’ll dive deeper into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, focusing on the specific challenges or goals you’ve identified. Each session is a collaborative space where we’ll work together to explore insights, develop coping strategies, and make progress at your pace.

  • Currently, all therapy sessions are offered virtually through secure, HIPAA-compliant video calls. This format offers flexibility and convenience, allowing you to attend sessions from the comfort of your own space. Like many virtual practices, this approach helps ensure consistent support without the barriers of commuting or location.

  • Yes, everything discussed in therapy is confidential. Your privacy is a top priority, and I follow strict ethical and legal guidelines to protect your personal information. However, there are some limits to confidentiality in accordance with New Jersey law. These include:

    • Harm to Self or Others: If there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, I am legally obligated to take action to ensure safety, which may involve disclosing information to the appropriate authorities.

    • Child or Elder Abuse: If there is suspicion of child abuse, neglect, or elder abuse, I am required by law to report this to the proper authorities.

    • Court Orders or Subpoenas: If a court issues an order or subpoenas your therapy records, I am legally required to comply.

These limits are in place to ensure safety and comply with legal obligations. Outside of these circumstances, your confidentiality will be respected and maintained. I will review these exceptions with you during our initial session to ensure transparency and clarity about your privacy in therapy.

  • To get started, you can reach out to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have, and determine if we are a good fit to work together. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule an intake session where we’ll explore your goals and begin the therapeutic process. I’m happy to work with you to find a time that fits your schedule!

  • If a client does not attend a scheduled appointment, or if a client cancels an appointment with less than 48 hours notice, the client is responsible for the full session fee. Please note, that insurance will not cover no-show or cancellation fees. If a client needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, and does so more than 48 hours in advance, all efforts will be made to reschedule an appointment for another day/time within the same week.
